The ‘Great wind Hall'was originally the studio of Zhang Shanzi and Zhang Daqian. It was established in Shanghai from May 1920 to spring 1925.The location experienced a change from‘the 10 th family,Lane 4,yong'anli,Sichuan Road' to ‘No.169,xichengli,Ximen road'.With the continuous development, the ‘Great wind Hall' has gradually changed from a concept of space to a synonym of painting group. Its influence is reflected in the collection of ancient books and paintings, numerous disciples and nephews, and rich exhibitions.Under this image, there are deep reasons for its superiority in many art groups. It is characterized by openness, international vision and abandonment of the portal. However,if we want to continue to develop the ‘Great wind Hall',we need to consider how to ‘close' so that it doesn't disappear under the existing large scale. In a word,as one of the special phenomena of Shanghai art,the research on its establishment, development and influence can provide reference for the development of Chinese art.
