The globalization of economy and trade has promoted the development of business English and also highlighted the importance of it.Business English translation helps numerous domestic students to learn business expertise. In the report, the translator takes Skopos Theory of Hans Vermeer as the theoretical basis and perspective to explore how to translate business texts through appropriate translation methods and techniques. The translation report is based on the business English textbook Business and Management(Second Edition)of writer Paul Hoang. The selected part is the fifth chapter Operations Management, which covers eight units of Production Methods,Costs and Revenues,Break-even Analysis,Quality Assurance,Location,Innovation,Production Planning and Project Management. Its text features includes rich proper nouns and business terms, long and short sentences interlaced,a large number of conditional sentences, frequent use of passive voice and overt cohesion. The target readers of this translation are Senior One students in China. From the lexical, syntactic and discourse levels, the translator selects some proper nouns, business terms, compound sentences and passive sentences as translation examples for case analysis, aiming to discuss the reflection of the three rules referred as Skopos Rule,Coherence Rule and Fidelity Rule of the Skopos Theory in the translation. The translator believes that none of professional English literacy, deep professional knowledge or a close combination of translation theory and practice is dispensable for a good business English translation. She will strive to improve her capability in both Chinese and English and at the same time actively improve her professional knowledge of business management, hoping to make great progress in the translation practice in the future.
