The Application And Research Of Historical And Cultural Elements In Book Design

The design of historical and cultural books is one of the important themes in book design.How to better reflect the cultural elements in the design of historical and cultural books,so that it meets the characteristics and needs of historical and cultural books,is the main purpose of this paper.Firstly,the thesis studies the development of history and culture in book design and book design,and further defines the cultural elements in the design of historical and cultural books based on the definition of the concepts,elements and historical and cultural elements of book design.The extraction and selection were analyzed and studied.Secondly,the thesis analyzes the morphological characteristics such as the diversification and interaction mode of book reading and the characteristics and functions of books,based on the relevant theories of cultural hierarchy theory and semiotics,from the perspective of historical culture,its expression and its information transmission.Three angles,specifically explaining the composition and expression of historical and cultural elements in book design.Finally,based on the non-linear reading mode of historical and cultural books and the image communication and expression methods of historical and cultural elements,the paper proposes a historical and cultural book design method—non-linear and image aggregation method,and the design process for historical and cultural books..Finally,the book design of "Love Red Print" is taken as an example.The method is used to design the image and reading process in the book.The feasibility and effectiveness of the method are verified.It provides methods and ideas for the application of historical and cultural elements in book design.
