Application In The Contemporary Book Design About The Nonlinear Structure

Traditional media on paper is experiencing serious changes. On the one hand, the concept of book design is deepening, paper books not only have the traditional function as the information container, but also began to intervene in the design of information; on the other hand, the media constantly subdivide, competition is more and more fierce, Strong position of traditional books become shaken due to encounter the impact from electronic reading product, the book designers seem to be faced with unprecedented challenge. Fully tapping the media properties of paper books have become major issues in the subject of book design.The research content of this paper is nonlinear phenomenon in the contemporary book design, its research category belongs to the study of design method in book design. Firstly, I defined the concept of the nonlinear structure of the book; secondly, I explore the origin of this phenomenon according to the historical development, social context and knowledge in the subject; again, I explain the concretely expression in the design method through design cases; finally, try to summarize differences of the design method and get the inspiration from this.Learning to use nonlinear structural design on contemporary book design is helpful to students on design subject that get more in-depth and rational understanding to the concept of book design,, but also inspire the design idea, develop forms of traditional paper books, promote the development of discipline.
