| With the continuous development of the society,college students are faced with the changes of environment of learning and living,as well as the increasingly complex and advanced requirements of society and family.This makes the psychological pressures that college students need to deal with increase day by day.If these pressures can not be effectively relieved in time,college students’ physical and mental health,social adaptation and even life will be greatly threatened.Therefore,people pay more and more attention to stress and stress management.University administrators and mental health educators have begun to pay focus on the problem of college students’ coping of stress.Therein,guiding college students to manage psychological stress requires theoretical direction and practical methods.In the field of stress coping,coping efficacy is a very important variable,which reflects the individual’s self-judgment on whether he can successfully deal with the situation of stress.Under the support of structured group Sandplay technology and group counseling theory,this study aims to improve the coping efficacy of College Students.By exploring the role and effectiveness of structured group Sandplay in promoting college students’ coping efficacy,and analyzing the intervention effectiveness and mechanism of structured group sandbox from the quantitative and qualitative perspectives,this study aims to provide some enlightenment and methods for colleges and universities to ensure the mental health of college students from the perspective of stress coping.In the study 1,we investigated the intervention effect of structured group Sandplay on college Students’ coping efficacy.A pre-test and post test design of the experimental group and the control group were executed,and the participants were selected as the experimental subjects by the way of recruitment and interview.Before and after the experiment," coping efficacy scale" was used to investigate the intervention effect of structured group Sandplay activities on College Students’ coping effectiveness.In Study 2,a large number of qualitative data were collected through the activities of structured group Sandplay,and qualitative data were analyzed with grounded theory as the main research method to explore the intervention mechanism of structured group Sandplay on College Students’ coping efficacy.The following conclusions are drawn:(1)After the structured group Sandplay intervention,the scores of the experimental group in the three dimensions of the coping efficacy scale were improved,and from the data analysis,it can be seen that the experimental group had significant differences in the total score of coping efficacy,as well as the two dimensions of "confidence level" and "cognitive level".It is proved that the structured group Sandplay can improve the coping efficacy of college students,and the intervention effect is both immediate and in long-term.(2)The structured group Sandplay has no significant improvement on the dimension of "competency",which may be due to the fact that this dimension reflects the stable characteristics of individual coping on the level of personal style.(3)The structured group Sandplay plays an important role in coping with college students’ stress through four aspects: emotional guidance,interpersonal nourishment,cognitive remodeling and self sublimation. |
