The Sandplay technology is one of the most wide implications ofinternational psychotherapy techniques. These years,Sandplaytechnology in China has been developing and gaining some resultingin its field. Domestic scholars have applied to the anxiety of selfcandidates, college students poor interpersonal intervention studiesand have achieved significant results. Yet there has not beenintervention of college students loneliness in our country. So this studyattempts to demonstrate the possibility of the intervention applicationof the college lonely crowd by using group Sandplay and test theintervention effects.There are five parts in the study:(1) Introduction and LiteratureReview,(2)Intervention Study,(3)Assessment and Analysis,(4)Resultsand Conclusions, and (5)Innovation and Defects. The section ofIntroduction and Literature Review systematically describes thebackground, purpose and significance,the previous findings status,thetheoretical basis of the Group Sandplay,operating procedures etc.TheIntervention Research part aims to demonstrate the possibility of theintervention application of the college lonely crowd by using a groupstudents being placed at Sandplay and test the intervention effects.Thisstudy takes peer group pretest and posttest experimental design,bycomparing experimental and control groups to examine theeffectiveness of Group Sandplay easing the loneliness of theexperimental group members.The experiments selected ShanghaiNormal University students from18to25years old and issued350questionnaires,effectively recovering the320,and the recovery was91.4%.20students were willingness to participate in screening.There are10people in the experimental group,who were randomly divided intotwo groups,each a week to participate in the Group Sandpaly intervention;the control group of10people did not accept anyintervention.The results show that:(1)Group Sandplay can effectively alleviate the college studentsLoneliness.The results of UCLA Loneliness show the great significantmitigation effect.There is a positive change in the students themes. Mostof the students sandplay themes show the change from the "chaos" tothe "transformation" and "cure".Production areas changed graduallyfrom the separation at the beginning to the integration in the end.Alsointeraction scenes among people,animals appeared gradually.(2)Groups Sandplay can effectively improve the mental health ofthe students lonely crowd.The tests of the SCL-90for the lonely collegestudents who participated in the Group Sandplay show that Scale totalscore decrease significantly and the effect is significant.
