This article is divided into four chapters.First,the paper introduces the cultural background of the cover design of “Yellow Banana Album”,and briefly describes the trend of rock music influenced by Andy Warhol,the representative of American Pop Art,and the pop attitude conveyed by rock music.Secondly,it explains the collision between Andy Warhol and “The Velvet Underground”,and analyzes the design of “Yellow Banana Album” cover from three aspects.The first is to study how they design the album cover of a curvy “ Banana”.The second is to focus the events leading up to the “factory” bloody event,and its aftermath.Andy Warhol portrays this period of change through use of color contrast.The third aspect is to explore “Yellow Banana Album” in depth and to attract consumption.In addition,this paper will analyze how the cover's design contributes to the success and development of visual act and rock music.Finally,this paper will introduce how the “Yellow Banana Album” cover inspired the author's graduation thesis project,which includes two aspects;the idea and the process of practice.
