Study On Xiaoshan Dialect From The Perspective Of Ecological Linguistics

Eco-linguistics is an emerging discipline that studies the relationship between ecology and language.Dialect is an important element of the ecological circle and one of the objective expressions of language.Its development is inextricably linked with the ecological environment.Research on Xiaoshan dialect can improve our ability to innovate from the perspective of ecological linguistics.We believe that "ecology" is a kind of metaphor.It can enhance or weaken the expression of the language.The purpose of the survey in this paper is to find out what factors affect language use and expression,through the relevant theories of ecological linguistics.At the same time,we will assess the ecological environment of Xiaoshan dialect.We divide the language ecology into several dimensions such as economy,generation,gender,and family space.After that,we will investigate the ecological aspect of Xiaoshan dialect based on the above perspectives.Under the economic dimension,we divided Xiaoshan into two circles: the economically active circle and the economic development circle.We will examine the relevant language subjects in the above two economic circles from the aspects of dialect attitude,dialect mastery and dialect usage.Under the surrogate dimension,we use Xiaoshan dialect songs as an entry point to examine different age groups from a microscopic perspective,in order to grasp the specific performance of dialect use ability in different generations and genders.In the family dimension,we divide families into local,mixed,and immigrant families based on social reality.We will classify and discuss the language ecology of different families according to the distribution of family members.This article is divided into six chapters,the key parts are the second,third,fourth and fifth chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part,which mainly summarizes the research on ecological linguistics and Xiaoshan dialect.Based on the perspective of ecological linguistics,this paper discusses the theoretical methods and research prospects of this topic.The second chapter is about the ecological interpretation of Xiaoshan dialect under economic parameters.First,the dialect attitude,the degree of mastery of dialects,and the use of dialects of the middle-aged group within the economically active circle.Second,the dialect attitude,the degree of mastery of dialects,and the use of dialects of the middle-aged group within the economically development circle.Then,we proposed a dialectical relationship between economic dimension and "dialect loyalty".The third chapter is about the ecological investigation of Xiaoshan dialect in the dimension of generation.In this chapter,we examine the dialect ability of different language entities in Xiaoshan based on the dialect complexity evaluation method.At the same time,we transform some of the subjects’ speech into picture Qr code to help us better understand and grasp the actual situation of dialect use.Firstly,we will explain the complexity of older groups and dialects.Secondly,the interpretation of the complexity of middle-aged groups and dialects;Thirdly,the interpretation of the complexity of the youth groups and dialects,and thus explore the dialect facts of the three generations of language subjects.The fourth chapter is an examination of the status quo of the family language ecology.This chapter uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods to classify the language use of different family types in Xiaoshan.It mainly includes: First of all,the analysis of the double-word phenomenon of local families.Furthermore,the multi-lingual phenomenon of mixed families.Last but not least,the analysis of language phenomena of immigrant families.The article pointed out that different family types and different family members can cause fluctuations in language appearance.It is thus known that language and family ecological environment are complementary.The fifth chapter is the analysis of survey data and results.In the end,we combine the theoretical knowledge of eco-linguistics to propose a strategy for inheriting and developing Xiaoshan dialect.The sixth chapter is the conclusion.At the same time,we pointed out the shortcomings in the article.The article synthesizes the research results of the predecessors,adopting the method of synchronic and diachronic analysis,based on the perspective of ecological linguistics.We have used the theory of language ecology,sociolinguistics and other related disciplines to conduct in-depth research on the ecological features of Xiaoshan dialect.It is intended to contribute to the promotion of linguistic ecological diversity and the vigorous development of ecological linguistics.
