| This paper is a translation report of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome(PCOS)based on the fourth and fifth chapter of International Evidence-Based Guideline for the Assessment and Management of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome 2018,which was issued by two authoritative international organizations,European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology(ESHRE)and American Society for Reproductive Medicine(ASRM).The two chapters elaborate the pharmacological treatment for non-fertility indications and the assessment and treatment of infertility,aiming to provide scientific and systematic guidance for medical personnel and patients.This paper describes the whole process of the translation,which includes pre-translation,translation and post-translation.The Source Text(ST)is translated under the guidance of the Skopos theory,and translation skills were used in the translation of passive sentences and long and difficult sentences to analyze some of the examples,such as conversion in parts of speech,amplification,omission,etc.The conclusion is that,translation techniques should be used skillfully for medical guideline translation.In addition,the background knowledge accumulation before translation are crucial,and attention should also be paid to the selection and use of CAT tools.Besides,assistance from an expert is necessary to ensure the translation quality. |
