Report On The Translation Of Current Medical Diagnosis And Treatment

The article is based on the partial contents from English book?Current Medical Diagnosis and Treatment as the translation practice report.The report is guided by skopos theory to analyze some problems encountered in the process of translation frequently.Guided by skopos theory,the report conducts an in-depth analysis and discussion on some major problems in the translation process,including vocabulary,sentence patterns and texts,so as to find out translation strategies and methods suitable for medical texts.This translation practice report consists of six parts.The introduction part summarizes the background,source,purpose and significance of the translation project.The first chapter is the description of the text including the authors and text overview.The second chapter is literature review,which introduces the development of skopos theory,the principles of skopos theory and the reasons for choosing skopos theory.Chapter three describes the whole process of this translation practice report,including preparation before translation,transferring original language to target language and posttranslation proofreading.Chapter four analyzes the application of theory in practice combined with examples.The last part makes a summary,including the enlightenment of this practice report and the existing deficiencies.Medical text translation is a difficult problem in scientific texts,and complicated technical terms bring great difficulties to translators.The author chose this medical texts as research object under the guidance of skopos theory and made a summary,which not only improved the translator's translation ability,but also updated author's understanding of the medical text.At the same time,the translator also hopes to help scholars in their future study by writing this dissertation.Figure 0;Table 0;Reference 30...
