A Study Of Pingxi Dialect In Eastern Fujian

Pingxi is located at the junction of eastern and northern Fujian.Pingxi dialect has the characteristics of both northern and eastern Fujian dialects.This article focuses on the language description of Pingxi dialect,aiming at understanding the phonetic nature and attribution of Pingxi dialect from the perspective of phonology and vocabulary.The thesis consists of six chapters.Chapter1:Introduction.It mainly introduces Pingxi Town's humanistic geography,historical evolution,dialect survey,material sources and research summary.Chapter2:Phonetic system of Pingxi dialect.It mainly describes the initial consonants,finals,tones and phonological features of Pingxi dialect.Chaper3:The third chapter compares the finals of Pingxi dialect with the dialects of eastern and northern Fujian,and then sums up the similarities between Pingxi dialect and the two dialects.Chapter4:Lexical Comparison.Based on a comparative analysis of the vocabulary of the three areas in the east and the two areas in the west of Fujian and the vocabulary of the east and the north of Fujian,this paper concludes whether the vocabulary similarity of Pingxi dialect is closer to the north of Fujian or the east of Fujian.Chapter5:Conclusion.Pingxi dialect is a transitional dialect based on the northern Fujian dialect and influenced by the eastern Fujian dialect.Schedule.Comprises a single-character pronunciation table,an initial consonant ancient and modern pronunciation comparison table and a finals ancient and modern pronunciation comparison table.
