In this interpreting practice report,the selected material is from a part of Jessup Cup called A Report on the Interpretation of Jessup International Final 2013 — The Alfurna Migrants.On the court,the representatives of two parties made a final submission related to the Alfurna Migrants.Simultaneous interpreting with text is provided in this practice.Interpretation is an activity included in information transmission.In this process,the interpreter as an information receiver,is influenced and interfered by noises more or less which are mainly presented as semantic noise in court interpretation.This is owing to its professional in court English,for example,the high frequency of nomination,complex sentences and conjunctions.These mentioned above consist of main factors interfering reception capability from the perspective of communications.Therefore,the quality of interpreting is influenced by semantic noise in a large degree.The tactics of re-construction,syntactic linearity and omission are used when interpreter tackling this type of issues.This practical report seeks to summarize the experience of English-Chinese simultaneous interpreting with text for court English through discussing challenges and the effective interpretation methods for this practice.The report makes efforts to offer reference to those English learners and court interpretation practitioners.
