A Study On The Visual Language Of Korean Patchwork

Korean patchwork is a typical ethnic handicraft with regional characteristics in Yanbian area of China.Korean patchwork has experienced hundreds of years of baptism and test.It has been transformed from functional daily necessities to patchwork art with collection value.It also has practicability and artistry in line with contemporary graphic design,and its visual image elements are also penetrating into contemporary graphic design.At the same time,as the carrier of culture and concept,graphic design is constantly exploring the design elements with national and local style in our patchwork art.In this regard,this paper analyzes the more mature Korean patchwork in China,discusses the composition and characteristics of Korean patchwork’s formal language by using the visual language organization rules in Gestalt psychology,and then sums up the principles and methods of Korean patchwork’s visual elements in contemporary graphic design,in order to more reflect the local culture in the patchwork series of graphic design works Language provides theoretical support.First of all,in the second chapter,it discusses the aesthetic characteristics and cultural connotation of Korean patchwork.Korean patchwork has profound artistic and cultural value.Its implicit and simple rhythm,bright and natural color,and cultural metaphor of technology make Korean patchwork also have high aesthetic value.At the same time,Korean patchwork is also developing towards diversification,its splicing form,color matching,rhythm and rhythm are constantly following the innovation and development of aesthetic characteristics of the times,which is more in line with the innovation requirements of modern graphic design for visual language form.Therefore,to explore the aesthetic characteristics and artistic value of Korean patchwork,and to make a good preparation for the overall analysis of Korean patchwork visual language.The third chapter mainly studies the visual language rules of Korean patchwork from the perspective of Gestalt Psychology: that is,to explore the principles of the composition of Korean patchwork,such as Gestalt,simplicity,selectivity and constancy,and to explore the characteristics of Korean patchwork visual language expression from the aspects of similarity association and symbolic expression,balanced composition and constancy perception.This lays a theoretical foundation for contemporary graphic design to use the visual elements of Korean mosaic,and can better retain the authenticity and identification of Korean mosaic.The fourth chapter discusses the principles and methods of using Korean mosaic visual language with examples.To extract,decompose and reconstruct the image elements of Korean patchwork,we should focus on the simplicity and optimization of the image elements,which is conducive to highlighting the main position of the image elements and more in line with the aesthetic requirements of the audience for contemporary graphic design works;for the diversified use ofKorean patchwork material elements,we should pay attention to the use of the selective principle to replace the unit shape in the picture Finally,through the grid design method,the screen elements are regulated,the screen structure is adjusted,the Gestalt composition style of Korean patchwork is continued,and the constant visual perception system is constructed.In the fifth chapter,through the study of the application of Korean patchwork visual language,respectively,from the integrity,culture and audience of three aspects of contemporary graphic design better use of patchwork elements should pay attention to the key points.Finally,the main content of this paper and the shortcomings are summarized and proposed.
