Modern distance education is a new type of education mode with the development of modern information technology.Through distance education the advantages of various existing educational resources can be effectively brought into reality,which conforms to the trend of world education development.The development of distance education has attracted the great attention of the society and it is closely related to the growing development of information technology.This also means that the state needs to examine educational institutions at all levels,such as primary and secondary schools,universities and vocational and technical schools.The reason for the gradual development and popularization of distance education in Russia is the extensive territory and the distance from educational centers in many areas.At present,dozens of Russian educational institutions have realized distance education technology to some extent.Distance learning starts developing in Russia in the early 1990 s.Due to the successful experience of distance education in Europe,the distance education system in Russia has gradually enriched.With the acceleration of life rhythm,the necessity of strict saving of energy,and the objective demand for timely access to information,the teaching process needs a new form.In the recent development process the introduction of video conferencing courses can not only enable students to listen and watch lectures,but also interact between teachers and students.Teachers and students can communicate in the real time through video conference teaching system,as if they were in the same classroom.This is the most important in the process of learning foreign languages and creates the opportunity for learning in the environment of foreign language.The video conference has many successful cases and broad prospects in teaching Russian and Chinese languages.Nowadays the teaching Chinese idioms to Russian students is the sphere of distance education which needs the great development and has the less research.There are many Chinese idioms in the textbooks of Russian middle and senior students,so Chinese idioms is also very important in teaching vocabulary.Because of the complexity of the content and the structure of idioms,the imperfection of the teaching methods and the inappropriateness of the methods of idiom learning,it may lead to the inefficiency and ineffectiveness of students' idioms learning,especially the acquisition errors.Therefore,idiom teaching will become a special difficulty in the development and research of teaching Chinese to Russians.In the distance Chinese teaching,Chinese idioms need the furtherresearch,teaching methods and textbooks also need a serious improvement,and the problems of compiling practical syllabus of Chinese idioms and distance courses still need the solution.With the further development of distance education of Chinese language to Russians,the author will analyze and elaborate the development,prospect and effectiveness of video teleconferencing teaching method of teaching Chinese idioms to Russian students.The first chapter mainly introduces the concept of video conference teaching system,historical development,experience in distance education and foreign language distance education,advantages and disadvantages of video conference teaching,the difference between video conference teaching and traditional distance teaching,the main teaching methods of video conference teaching,and the main requirements of video conference teaching.The second chapter mainly discusses the results of the questionnaire survey,finds out the most popular teaching methods in distance learning of Chinese idioms to Russians,analyses the advantages and disadvantages of these methods,the difficulties of Russian students when they study Chinese idioms through the distance education and summarizes the shortcomings and problems in the distance teaching of Chinese idioms.Chapter three describes the results of the experiment of using video conference teaching method in the course of Chinese Idioms to Russian students,the main requirements of the video conference teaching method in distance teaching of Chinese language,the main steps of the experiment and the analysis,strategies of the future development of using video conference method in teaching Chinese Idioms.
