A Study On Xunzi's Thought Of "Mingfen Emissary Group"

The common problems faced by thinkers at that time were political turbulence and social disorder in the pre-Qin period.Hundreds of scholars are thinking about how to meet the requirements of the times,establish a new social order,so that social groups can be stable and harmonious,the country is rich and strong,and the society is orderly.In such a historical background,Xunzi's thought of "Ming Fen Shi Qun" came into being.In Xunzi,"group" is actually a kind of community in which people can live under the common goal.Individual value can be reflected through "group",and "group" can also guarantee people's life.So how does "group" form? In Xunzi,"Fen" is closely related to the order construction of "group society".By making clear the difference of hierarchy,power and division of labor,etiquette is used to build an orderly society.Therefore,the combination of the two important concepts of "Ming Fen Shi Qun" contains Xunzi's important ideas on political construction.Based on the social background and conceptual background of the thought of "Ming Fen Shi Qun",this paper expounds respectively Xunzi's way of "Ming Fen" and "Shi Qun",from what is "Fen",how to "Ming Fen",what is "Qun",why to need "Qun",how to "Qun",and sorts out the connotation and significance of Xunzi's "Ming Fen Shi Qun".Among them,Xunzi's Thought on "Ming Fen" is the result of comprehensive thinking on the thought of "Fen" of various schools in the pre-Qin period,while the way of "making the group" is based on the development and extension of Ming Fen,which can be implemented by the way of paying equal attention to both rites and laws,integrating the "Rites" of Confucianism and the "laws" of Legalists,which is a very creative part of Xunzi's thought.Xunzi's thought of "Ming Fen Shi Qun" not only had an important influence on the later Han Fei Zi,Lu Shi Chunqiu and the politics of Han Dynasty,but also had something to do with the concepts of "right" and "obligation" in modern sense.This paper will analyze the similarities and differences between them in the construction of national order,so as to explain the special significance of "Ming Fen Shi Qun" and the traditional Chinese political form There is a necessary connection between states.Xunzi's good social order,which was constructed by the thought of "Ming Fen Shi Qun",played a theoretical foundation for the later ancient China.In the past two thousand years,the ancient China basically continued the tradition of governing the country by virtue,and governing the country by external Confucianism and internal law.For the contemporary society which attaches great importance to individual freedom,how to establish a civilized and harmonious social order has become a problem that contemporary scholars need to think about.Therefore,it is still of great theoretical value and practical significance to restate Xunzi's thought of "clear division and group" for today's handling of the relationship between individuals and groups,the construction of social moral system and the promotion of social harmony.
