The teaching goal of elementary spoken Chinese is to cultivate learners' communicative competence,and a large number of effective practice is one of the most important way to achieve it.At present,remarkable achievements have been made in both the compilation and research of spoken Chinese teaching textbooks,but in the elementary spoken Chinese teaching textbooks,there is a shortage of comparative studies on exercises.Therefore,this requires us to compare and analyze some typical textbooks,draw lessons from some experience,explore more suitable for the practice of elementary oral textbooks,and then put forward more targeted Suggestions.In this paper,two representative elementary spoken Chinese teaching textbooks,exercises of“Boya Chinese”(1?2)and“Short-term Spoken Chinese”(Beginners,two volumes),are selected as the research objects to review the principles of practice compilation in TCSL textbooks and the research status of the deficiencies of specific textbooks and practice Settings in textbooks.Combined with the theory of communicative competence,structure-function-cultural theory,textbook compilation principles and other relevant theoretical basis and personal practical experience,this paper attempts to systematically investigate the two sets of textbooks by means of literature study,data statistics and comparative research.Firstly,this paper conducts data statistics and quantitative research from the practice topic quantity(exercise intensity,distribution),the practice topic(mechanical practice,comprehension,practice and communicative practice),practice content(voice,vocabulary practice session,sentence,paragraph expression),social practice feature set(communication environment,communication,communication topic character)the data of the four aspects.Secondly,combining the case with the theory,this paper comprehensively compares and analyzes the characteristics,rules and existing problems of the practice design and arrangement of the two sets of teaching textbooks such as the unbalanced proportion of some exercises in the teaching textbooks,the inability to fully reflect the characteristics of the spoken teaching textbooks,the weak consciousness of segmental expression,and the low level of practice communication.Finally,this paper puts forward some specific and feasible suggestions for the compilation and uses of elementary spoken Chinese teaching textbooks,,such as adjust practice proportion and order,take the initiative to set or consciously strengthen practice settings do exercise by poor information and contextual,communicative,cooperative,tasks,etc.This paper makes data statistics on the setting of exercise questions in the current elementary spoken Chinese textbook,which can provide reference for future research,and make a general summary of the current setting of exercise questions,which can play a practical feedback role in the textbook writing theory of the textbook writing researchers.Meanwhile,it is hoped that the thoughts and suggestions put forward in this paper can play an enlightening and referential role in the setting and writing of exercise questions in the future elementary spoken Chinese textbook.
