Research On The Grammar Exercises Of Elementary Spoken Textbooks Of Short-term Spoken Chinese(threshold)

In the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,practice plays an irreplaceable role,which can not only evaluate the students' learning effect,but also help them consolidate the learned knowledge.Language can only be mastered by repeated practice.In short-term spoken Chinese teaching,it is also necessary to design more effective grammar exercises.This paper chose as the research object the popular short-term spoken textbook in China and abroad,the two volumes of Short-term Spoken Chinese(Threshold),referred to the relevant principles on the compilation of exercises and theories of grammar practice in spoken textbooks at home and abroad,and made a statistical analysis of the amount and type of grammar exercise as well as the selection and arrangement of grammar points in this textbook.The research shows that the grammar exercise in Short-term Spoken Chinese(Threshold)is well-directed and interesting,but has defects in exercise amount,types and the arrangement of grammar points.Specifically,the exercise are excessive,including a low proportion of mechanical exercise,and the arrangement of some grammar points does not conform to the students' learning rules.Based on the above problems,this paper puts forward some suggestions,such as adjusting the exercise amount,balancing the proportion of exercise types and taking learning rules into consideration in arranging grammar points,etc.Hopefully to offer some reference proposals to the authors of grammar exercises in the spoken Chinese textbooks.It can also help teachers who use this textbook as teaching material adjust and arrange the grammar exercise in a sensible way.
