At the early stages of people's acquaintances,“greeting language”,used as a sign to express friendliness,is the landmark for starting a communication among people.It is very important for people to know how to use greeting language appropriately in the process of communicating.The proper use of communicative language can not only help build up a friendly relationship between people,but can it also help regulate people's behavior in a relationship.Nowadays,mastering the skills of how to appropriately utilize greeting language in different contexts has become a must for foreign students studying Chinese.However,due to many factors,greeting language is constantly changing in different countries as its language is in the process of development,to ensure a better knowledge of the differences between Chinese greeting language and Kyrgyz greeting language among the Kyrgyz students studying in China,proper utilization of greeting language has become an important criterion to measure one's cultural manners and moral cultivation.The author of this paper has taken Kyrgyz students studying in China as the subjects,whose Chinese language proficiency varies.Analyses have been conducted onto the subject's utilization of Chinese greeting language,corrections have been made in correspondence with the mistakes and reasonable suggestions are provided thereafter.This process has helped some Kyrgyz students studying in China,who have some understanding of Chinese culture,to have a deeper understanding of the culture included in the process of communicating,and further more,to appropriately utilize greeting language in their daily basis,avoiding the reappearance of wrong utilization of the greeting language.There are four chapters in this thesis,and the author has generalized greeting language in the introduction part,focusing on the significance of this research,the evolving background of greeting language,and the status quo of related researches on greeting language.A further illustration of the research method and the subjects has been provided in the introduction part as well.Chapter one has made a comparison and contrast on the classification and its features of the greeting language.Chapter two has stated the research on the utilization of greeting language among the Kyrgyz students studying in China.Chapter three has analyzed the differences in the greeting languagetype between Kyrgyzstan and China and its reason for causing these differences.While after analyzing the reasons for causing these differences between the two countries' greeting languages,Chapter four has provided some methods and suggestions on learning Chinese greeting language for Kyrgyz students,and therefore,providing some effective references on how to appropriately utilize Chinese greeting language for Kyrgyz students studying in China.
