The Problems Encountered By The Vietnamese Students Studying Chinese Greeting Research

Greeting in relationship is the most common and widespread phenomenon,Which is a special means of communication. Therefore, the study of greeting speech act of interpersonal communication will have great significance.In order to explore and reveal the characteristics of their speech acts and their usage, this paper drawing on the research results of past based on the theories of pragmatics and sociolinguistics using the methods of quantitative and qualitative, comparative linguistics and conversation analysis, has studied the greeting of the Chinese language systematically.This paper is composed of the preface, threc chapters and the conclusion. The preface describes the purpose of and comtent the research. The first chapter is the theory basis of the second chapter and third chapter. In this chapter the main speech act, communicative role, courtesy and other verbal communication theories and principles are described and the "greeting" concept, role and influencial factors are further clarified.The second chapter, talks about different modes of greeting in Chinese so as to further study the characteristics and types of the greeting style and usage.ChapterⅢ, on the one hand, points out that Vietnamese students are likely to fail Teaming Chinese when using greetings in Chinese. On the other hand, it finds out the main reasons for three committing errors, and puds forward a few suggestions in Chinese language teaching so as to help Vietnamese students in China to use them appropriately.The main corpus of this paper comes from Chinese teaching materials and different discs (including written language and spoken language body). The survey is targeted at Vietnamese students learning Chinese in various universities in China and some Chinese students learning Vietnamese.In the deep sense, this paper aims to study some problems that exitst in the cross-cultural communication in order to more further promote the understanding between nations.
