Xixia is a mixed multi-ethnic regime established by the Dangxiang,which has a more moderate ethnic policy and relatively harmonious relations among the ethnic groups.Dangxiang and Han are the two most important ethnic groups in Xixia.In recent years,the tomb archaeology of Xixia is also the most harvested by the tombs of Dangxiang and Han,and the area with the most archaeological achievements is Gan—Ning two provinces.The tombs of Xixia in Gansu area are mainly Han people's tombs,and those of Xixia in Ningxia area are mainly Dangxiang people's tombs.It can be found that there are some differences in the style of the two tombs,which are mainly related to the ethnic attributes and identity status of the tomb owners.To distinguish the ethnic attribute and status of each tomb,we must first clarify the judgment standard of the noble tombs and the people's tombs in Xixia,and the main criteria of judgment are the specifications of the tombs and the burial objects.By combing the specifications and objects of the tombs of the nobility and the common people in Xixia,it is found that the tombs of the aristocrats in Xixia are mainly composed of step-by-step single-room earth-hole tombs,the funeral methods are mainly earth-buried objects,and the objects are mainly wooden,iron,bronze and stone tools.There are the following characteristics in the tombs of the civilian population in Xixia;the tombs are mainly single-room brick rooms and earth pit tombs;the funeral methods are mainly cremation;the burial objects are mainly wooden objects;the tomb specifications and the number of burial objects reflect the wealth gap.These characteristics and differences are closely related to the political,economic and cultural influence of the Xixia Dynasty.The first chapter of this paper introduces and analyzes the tombs and objects of the nobility of Xixia in Gan—Ning area.The tombs mainly include the tombs of the aristocrats of Xixia Mausoleum,the tombs of the noble families of the Dangxiang of Minning Village and the local bureaucrats of Han,and then summarizes the funeral characteristics of the aristocrats in Xixia in Gan—Ning area.The second chapter of this paper introduces and analyzes the tombs and objects of Xixia civilians in Gan—Ning area,including Xixia Tomb of Wuwei Sports School in Gansu Province in April 1981,Xixia Tomb of Xixia Tomb in West suburb of Wuwei in Gansu Province in June 1989,Xixia Tomb of Benma Beverage Factory in Wuwei County in Gansu Province in July 1989,Xixia Tomb of Family Yuan of Armed Police Detachment Xiguan Armed Police Detachment in Gansu Province in March 1997,Xixia Tomb of Huanxi Coal Mine Family Yuan in Wuwei West suburb in Gansu Province in September 1998,Xixia Tomb of Wuwei Town Enterprise Bureau in Gansu Province in June 1999 and Xinxia area in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.The third chapter of this paper analyzes the influence on the burial customs of the aristocracy and the common people in Xixia in Gan—Ning area,mainly from three aspects: the development of the early burial customs,the social and economic factors and the cultural factors.
