Disfluency is common in language production.Fluent expressions mean that the audience will be more willing to listen to and believe in what the speaker said.In consecutive interpretation,fluency is one of the critical yardsticks to evaluate an interpreter's performance.Disfluency in interpretation will not only bring trouble to interpreters in conveying the accurate meaning,but also raise doubt about the interpreter's capability.In this thesis,the author discusses the disfluency in interpretation.By means of examples from a speech on the education of refugees,the author tries to analyze the causes of disfluency from the perspective of insufficient specific terms and background knowledge,bad speaking habits and start speaking too fast,invalid notetaking without enough logic and bad deverbalization.In order to tackle these problems in interpretation,the author also puts forward some corresponding strategies to solve them,aiming to improve fluency in interpretation. |
