The development of modern information technology promotes the reform and innovation of higher vocational colleges' educational concept and teaching mode,which is the only way to promote the development of educational informatization in our country.Supported by modern information technology,flipped classroom has been favored by more and more colleges and universities in recent years,especially in developed countries such as Europe and America.Domestic academia about "flip" class research scope is also growing,but there is little research in the practical teaching status quo of higher vocational colleges and discusses the applicability of the "flip" class and its existing problems in the application process,so this article intends to explore flip class in the application status of higher vocational college English reading teaching,the rich "flip" classroom teaching theory field in our country,and is applied well in the English reading teaching in higher vocational colleges to flip the classroom teaching mode,and promote the reform and innovation of higher vocational college English reading teaching has the vital significance.This paper uses literature method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and field observation,and take three higher vocational colleges in Huizhou as an example to turn the classroom research has been carried out on the present situation of the application of English reading teaching.It is concluded that flipped classroom has some problems in English reading teaching in higher vocational colleges,such as incomplete process design,insufficient classroom activity design,students' difficulty in asking questions and their inability to watch micro-videos independently,lack of flexibility in the division of cooperative groups,and unbalanced tasks among group members.Such problems are mainly caused by the large class size in higher vocational colleges and the imperfect supply of hardware equipment needed for flipped classroom teaching and the lack of deep understanding of flipped classroom by teachers in higher vocational colleges.In the end,this paper puts forward some countermeasures,such as adopting the cross-over flipped classroom teaching method,suggesting colleges and universities to increase investment in hardware technology and equipment of flipped classroom,and strengthening the improvement of teachers' teaching ability,so as to provide some references for carrying out flipped classroom in the practice of English reading teaching in higher vocational colleges.
