As a non-class teaching method in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,extracurricular cultural activities can stimulate students' motivation to learn Chinese and arouse their interests in Chinese learning.It is an important task of foreign Chinese teaching.On the basis of the research on extracurricular Chinese teaching activities at home and abroad,based on the four dimensions of the Berlo's model of communication proposed by David Berlo—recipient,information,source and channel,more than one hundred students,some Chinese teachers,and event organizers of Sawang Boriboon Wittaya School were survey subjects,which uses questionnaire surveys,interviews,inspections and other methods to investigate the extracurricular activities of Sawang Boriboon Wittaya School in Pattaya,Thailand from 2017 to 2020.Through collecting,sorting,summarizing,and analyzing the data obtained,the basic appearance,characteristics and development process of Sawang Boriboon Wittaya School's extracurricular cultural activities in the past three years were presented and summarized;and on this foundation,setting in the four dimensions of Berlo's model of communication and analyzing the typical case,according to some questions on the form and spreading of its extracurricular cultural activities,some suggestions were come up with to improve this state quo.Also,the typical cases of extracurricular culturalactivities in Sawang Boriboon Wittaya School were summarized,some constructive teaching suggestions are put forward,and a special activity project-"Running Confucius" activity program is designed to implement it.Using Berlo's dissemination model as a survey-analysis method,taking the teachers and students of Sawang Boriboon Wittaya School,a famous Chinese school in eastern Thailand,as the survey objects,Chinese extracurricular cultural teaching activities were studied,hoping to provide valuable information for the development of extracurricular cultural activities of Thai Chinese teaching.
