As an important part of Chinese classroom teaching for foreign students,Chinese extracurricular activities together with classroom teaching constitute a complete target language learning environment,which provides more practical opportunities for students and a more realistic Chinese context,thus promoting the students'international students.Chinese learning and use creation.Therefore,in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,Chinese extracurricular activities play a vital role,and Chinese extracurricular activities should be taken seriously.However,during the internship process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the author finds that the existing extracurricular activities are different from the students' needs.Therefore,this paper hopes to take the current situation of extracurricular activities and the needs of foreign students for extracurricular activities with the Chinese University of Beijing Foreign Studies University as an example.Investigate and research,find out the problems existing in the current extracurricular activities,and make corresponding suggestions to help the extracurricular activities to be carried out better.The first part of the paper first introduces the reasons for choosing the topic,and analyzes the significance of the topic in practical and theoretical sense.The second part introduces the current research status of extracurricular activities,and defines the concept of extracurricular activities in combination with related literature,and combs and summarizes the related research on second language extracurricular activities and Chinese extracurricular activities.The third part introduces the relevant theoretical background.From the input and output and interaction hypothesis,the cultural adaptation hypothesis and the learning community model,the importance and requirements of the extracurricular activities are discussed and analyzed.The questionnaire is designed under the guidance of the demand analysis theory.The fourth part introduces the research purpose,research ideas and research methods,and explains the design and content of the questionnaire and interview.The fifth part starts from the general situation of Chinese extracurricular activities of the Chinese Language School of Beijing Foreign Studies University.It conducts a sample questionnaire survey on the status and needs of Chinese students' extracurricular activities,and uses SPSS21.0 to analyze the data,from the setting of the activities,organization.Participation situation and role analysis of the status and needs of extracurricular activities,and through the comparative analysis of the status quo and needs to find the consistency and inconsistency between the two,in order to find out the problems existing in the current Chinese extracurricular activities.The sixth part proposes a comprehensive countermeasure from the activity itself and the groups participating in the activity.The seventh part summarizes the conclusions obtained in this paper.The survey shows that:First,international students believe that extracurricular activities are necessary.Extracurricular activities provide opportunities for Chinese input and output,which is helpful for their Chinese learning.Second,students have the willingness to participate in extracurricular activities.And they hope that teachers and Chinese students can form a learning community to participate in activities together.Third,the cultural factors in the activities can shorten the social distance and psychological distance between international students and Chinese communities,and promote cultural adaptation and Chinese learning.Fourth,the current extracurricular Activities are consistent with student needs in terms of time,quantity,and task difficulty.Students are highly satisfied with activities such as Chinese Corner,Cool Selling,and China Film Day.However,the comparison of current situation and demand shows that there is still a gap between the frequency,language,type,participation,planners and other aspects of extracurricular activities and the needs of students.The deficiencies reflected in the activities include:first,the type of activities is fixed,the form is relatively simple;second,the planners of the activities are singular,and the diversity is not obvious;third,the role of extracurricular activities is not significant,and the activities are inefficient;fourth,The participation of Chinese students is low,and the participation of international students is not high.In view of the problems found in the research,this paper proposes a perfect countermeasure from four parts:First,enhance the systemic and enthusiasm of the activity.In extracurricular activities,we should keep in touch with classroom teaching,exercise the content of classroom teaching,and make up for the lack of classroom teaching.We will carry out extracurricular activities in the form of international student associations or interest groups.Diversified event planners can meet the needs of students at different levels and interests.In the current student satisfaction activities to cultivate quality activities,give full play to the role of extracurricular activities;the current extracurricular activities are relatively fixed,should add new elements in the activities,set up innovative activities;students with high enthusiasm for activities can be the backbone of activities to drive other Students participate in activities to help teachers organize activities together.Second,establish a professional extracurricular activity management system.The development of extracurricular activities should be standardized.The purpose,time,language,tasks,and pre-event activities and post-event planning should be as strict as possible;a certain reward system should be established to encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities.Third,teachers and Chinese students give full play to the role of the learning community,guide students to participate in activities,and actively interact with international students in the development of activities to promote their Chinese proficiency.Fourth,improve students' enthusiasm for participating in activities,strengthen students'learning motivation,adjust students' anxiety in Chinese learning,help students improve their attention,and improve the efficiency of participating in extracurricular activities.
