With the rapid development of the world economy and the accelerating process of globalization,the number of foreign students who come to China to learn Chinese in a short time is increasing day by day.Chinese learners also have higher requirements for the teaching methods in Chinese education.According to the different types of courses,Chinese learners who want to learn Chinese in a short period of time are required to improve their Chinese language proficiency.However,in terms of the current situation of Chinese education,the teaching methods of TCFL reading and writing course need to keep pace with the times,and teachers need to adjust teaching constantly according to the actual teaching situation.This paper is under this situation,based on the teaching practice of Donghua University in China,and studies the teaching methods of intermediate reading and writing course under the multimodal teaching mode.This paper is divided into the following six parts: the first chapter is the introduction,which mainly describes the background of the topic,the purpose and significance of the research,and the research methods.The literature review part introduces the research situation of multimodal teaching mode in China from the macro,micro and related perspectives.The second chapter describes the related concepts and theoretical basis of multimodal teaching mode.The third chapter is mainly based on the investigation.The method of analysis focuses on the current situation of the teaching of intermediate reading and writing course of Chinese as a foreign language at Donghua University,and analyzes the specific situation of foreign students in China according to the statistical data of the questionnaire.The fourth chapter first describes the teaching methods under the multimodal teaching mode in the form of case presentation,designs the case according to the actual teaching content,and then analyzes the data from the results of teaching practice.In the fifth chapter,from the existing problems in the intermediate reading and writing class,an application of multimodal teaching mode is proposed.The sixth chapter is the conclusion of the full text,and the future development of multimodal teaching mode in the intermediate reading and writing teaching of Chinese as a foreign language is prospected.
