The report is completed based on the translation of Climate Connection(Chapter7).This source text systematically makes a description of the research status of climate change and human evolution caused by climate change. The translation of the book aims to help Chinese learn more about latest researches in climate changes as well as the influence of the climate changes on the human evolution and provides some references for other translators in the field of meteorological science and technology.English attributive clause is located after the antecedent it modifies, while Chinese attributive clause is mostly located before the noun central word. The differences in the structure and syntactic functions of attributive clauses between English and Chinese make it difficult to translate English attributive clauses into Chinese.Based on the translation practice of Attributive Clause from chapter 7 in Climate Connection and guided by Nida's theory of functional equivalence, this report makes a concrete analysis of the translation strategies of attributive clauses in meteorological science and technology text translation by adopting the translation strategies of combination, division, conversion and Synthesis, which may shed some light for the translation of meteorological science and technology texts. This paper is divided into five chapters.Chapter One mainly introduces the background and structure of translation report.Chapter Two mainly demonstrates the process of translation tasks.Chapter Three mainly illustrates theoretical basis, including Nida's functional equivalence theory, the characteristics of scientific and technological texts, and literature review of the translation strategies for the attributive clause.Chapter Four mainly focuses on case study, during which the translator adopt four translation methods including combination, division, conversion and Synthesis and some translation strategies including translation into the structure of ?,addition of dash, elimination of relative pronoun, addition of generation, repetition of antecedent, addition of demonstrative pronoun, conversion into adverbial clause of cause and result.Chapter Five summarizes the whole report.
