With the increase of cultural exchanges with foreign countries and the development of economic globalization,tourism has seen unprecedented prosperity.In recent years,some tourism destinations whose official language is English have become popular with Chinese tourists.And to publicize the beautiful scenery and attract more tourists,more and more books that introduce a country's or a region's gorgeous landscape,splendid history,grand architectures,etc.come out.However,many tourists do not know English and there are barriers to cross-cultural communication,which hinders the development of tourism to some extent.Therefore,the translation of these tourism texts has become particularly important.This project is based on the book England which is an introduction book about England culture.In recent years,England has attracted many tourists with its unique scenery and culture,and the tourism industry is booming.England introduces almost all the scenic spots and historic sites in England,and describes the glorious history and local customs of England systematically and comprehensively.This translation project translates parts of the England into Chinese,providing references for Chinese readers and Chinese bilingual lovers to learn more about England.In the translation process of England,under the guidance of Reception Theory,the translator analyzes the problems in the translation process and summarizes the translation methods adopted from the perspective of the translator's subjectivity role and the consideration that should be taken for readers.In addition,the translator refers to relevant books and websites when translating terms,trying to convey the original information accurately and smoothly.The project aims to provide Chinese tourists with a better understanding of English art and culture.It also hopes to provide Chinese readers,tourists to England and researchers of English art and culture with as much convenience and reference as possible.At the same time,the translator hopes it can be meaningful reference for translators of English tourism texts.
