As a high and new technology, the agricultural-photovoltaic complementary power station is widely applied to the agricultural industry, improving the efficiency and quality of agricultural production as well as guaranteeing agroecological development and environmental construction through the utilization and transformation of solar energy.Vigorously developing the photovoltaic industry caters to not only the need of national agricultural production, but the requirement of coping with natural disasters.Meanwhile,it ensures the coverage of the demand for electrical energy, and responds to environmental protection requests, bringing ecological benefits to society as well as economic benefits to power supply companies. The widespread application of ecological power has triggered the need for the translation of scientific and technological texts on electric power engineering.Based on the C-E translation of Feasibility Research Report on 50 MWp Agricultural-Photovoltaic Complementary Power Station Project(Phase 2)in Maiwang,Hanchuan, the report elucidates the difficulties encountered in the translation of scientific and technological text and elaborates corresponding solutions. The author mainly analyzes the linguistic characteristics of scientific and technological text at the lexical and syntactic levels, which are characterized by the abundance of terminology as well as long and complicated sentences correspondingly. In the process of English translation, the key and difficult points mainly focus on the processing and translation of scientific and technological terms, proper nouns, abbreviations,as well as the translation of non-subject sentences and run-on sentences.Combined with case analysis, this project report adopts literal translation, liberal translation, transliteration, amplification, division, word transformation, passive voice and other specific methods to solve both the lexical and syntactic problems.Closely combined with ecological power engineering, the report aims at exploring solutions to specific problems met when translating the scientific and technological texts in an attempt to provide references for the future translation of technical texts.
