A Study On The Level And Impact Of Community Participation In Tourism Development In Huangpi District,Wuhan City

With the coming of the era of mass tourism and the national leisure time,the development of tourism destination communities has coming into a golden period.However,with the rapid development of the tourism industry,the problem of the tourism community gradually emerged.Since there is a high degree of consistency between the tourist area and the community in the space position,environmental resources and activities content,etc.so the construction and management of the tourism destination from the benefit of the community is considered as an effective way to realize the sustainable development of tourism and the common development of tourism and community.In this context,more and more attention is paid to the research of community participation in tourism development.This research follows the research paradigm of positivism,based on summarizing the study of community participation in tourism development of literature and relevant theory,guided by stakeholder theory,social exchange theory,sustainable development theory,we constructed a community participation in the tourism development level evaluation index system,discusses the influence that community participation may poses on the residents,visitors and the community,as well as put forward hypotheses to be tested.Through literature survey,interview and the questionnaire survey,the data and information needed by the research are obtained.And then,using the factor analysis method,we make an empirical test and revision of the evaluation dimension and index system,and make a quantitative evaluation on the level of community participation in tourism development in Huangpi district by using the revised evaluation dimension and index system.Finally,we put forward the countermeasures and suggestions for the development of community tourism in Huangpi District.The research conclusions are as follows:Firstly,the evaluation index system of community participation in tourism development level includes four dimensions,namely,operating security of community participation,planning and supervision of community participation,residents' personal interest sharing and community overall interest sharing.Secondly,The level of community participation in tourism development of Huangpi district is in the middle level and the average total score was 3.242.From the perspective of individual scoring,most of the residents participation levels are in the medium level,and a minority of them are in a high level;from the viewpoint of different dimensions,Huangpi District Community Participation in the "community overall benefit sharing degree" is better.In the other three dimensions,there is still much room for improvement;In terms of different scenic spots,the level of participation of the 7 scenic spots are in the middle level,but there are differences in various areas.To be specific,Mulan Great Lake got the highest score,for 3.511,while Mulan grassland scored lowest,only 2.795.Thirdly,the community participation in tourism development of Huangpi District mainly exerts a positive impact.Participation in the tourism development improved the income of local residents as well as the quality of life,enhanced the residents perceived benefits,and promoted the awareness of residents of their own culture;at the same time,community participation played a potential role in promoting local national economy development and the protection and inheritance of local culture in Huangpi District,it also provides support for the construction and dissemination of good tourism image of Huangpi District,and also improves the community tourism environment and regional overall environment.Fourthly,in the hypothesis test of the impact of community participation,community participation in tourism development has a positive implication on Residents' perceptions of personal income,but there is no significant impact on Residents' attitude toward tourism development,and other hypotheses are needed for further testing.Fifthly,because of the lack of community participation in planning and decision-making,as well as the imbalance of benefits distribution and the contradiction between community and scenic area,we put forward optimization measures,such as improving the residents' mechanisms involved in decision-making and planning,implement a reasonable profit distribution mechanism,establish effective communication mechanism.
