"Yimeng Red Sisters":The Female Liberation In The Land Reform

During the wars of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and liberation,in order to achieve the victory of the revolution,the Communist Party carries out land reform movement in the liberated areas to unite the Yimeng people to participate into the battles actively,which leads Yimeng women go into the society from their own family by taking part in the revolution bravely and succeed in their personal role change from housewives to Yimeng red sisters.Based on many oral interviews with old Yinan people on the topic of land reform and Yimeng red sisters,this paper tries to explore the path of social crusade of the female liberation path in the land reform and analyzes its advantages and disadvantages.In this paper,the revolutionary mobilization mechanism in land reform is the important factor in their role change from Yimeng women to red sisters.Before the land reform,women are firmly bound in their families under the condition of continuous wars and social unrest in Yimeng Mountains,and they suffer mental slavery on their minds.During the land reform,the traditional Yimeng women go out of the house in male permission.Under the guidance of Women's organizations,the women's inner needs are met.After the movements of the land devision,the women's family status and their self-awareness gratually increased.After the civil war broke out,Yimeng women participate in the revolution actively,and their behaviors supporting the front line always deepen their political awareness,which helps them to achieve their great personal liberation and become the respectable Yimeng red sisters.Through the analysis above,the paper summarizes the characteristic of the social crusade of the female liberation path,compared with the women's liberation path in the time of Democratic Revolution,and discusses the contributions and limitations of the social crusade of female liberation path.
