Burma's 2015 general elections—won in a landslide by the opposition National League for Democracy(NLD),led by general Aung San's daughter Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.Even though Daw Aung San Suu Kyi can't be Burma's president but she plays a very significant role in the government and is also one of the most powerful people in Burma.Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has a great influence on Burma's political development.So the research of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's political thoughts has considerable practical significance.The study of the Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's political thoughts has been finished by the use of comparative approach,literature analysis method and so on.This thesis summarized Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's different political objectives in different periods and different methods to accomplish this aims.And this thesis also makes a research on the source and influence of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's political thoughts.The political thoughts of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi can be divided in to three stages:under the junta ruling period,under the military-backed Union Solidarity and Development Party(USDP)ruling period and the period of NLD as the ruling party.Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's political thoughts have changed a lot since 1988,such as from idealism to realism and in cooperation with the military.First Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and NLD get political power through cooperate with the tatmadaw.Then while the NLD becoming the ruling party,Daw Aung San Suu Kyi asserts its dominance by strengthening validity.Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's political thoughts are characteristic.Her political thoughts were idealism,strong and non-violent when the junta was ruling government.After she was released,her political thoughts have changed.The features of her political thoughts are realism,autocratic and legalization now.The political thoughts of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi come from all sorts of sources-Aung San factors,Burmese culture,non-violent thoughts and democracy thoughts.And her political thoughts change for the impacts of long-term oppose the tatmamtaw,the attitudes shifted of others NLD leaders,the necessity of the army in Burma's politic and the change of international environment.So,Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's political thoughts have two-side impacts on the transition of Burma.
