The system of selecting and appraising public servants is an important part of the Public Servants Examination Recruit System in China,The organization and implementation of the Public Servants Examination Recruit System makes a large number of outstanding talents from the society.In recent years,with the transformation of government administrative management and public management,the demands of the quality and ability of public servants become higher and higher.The system for selecting the best among the public servants,has played an important role in improving the government work efficiency,optimizing the structure of the civil service and improving the ability of civil servants.Expedite the circulation channels of public servants and establish a standard,scientific and efficient open selection mechanism is very necessary.This paper,basing on the practice of the system of selecting and appraising public servants in Shantou,introduces the history of the system of selecting and appraising public servants in China,development and selection process,analysis the problems and reasons.Combining with the working practice,this paper puts forward some practical suggestions on improving selection recognizing,and perfecting the selection system and improving the selection technology.
