Research On Grid Management In Urban Community In A District In Nanchang City

As an integral part of society,the community is the grassroots unit which provides public services to the public.With the increasing of social economy and the diversity of resident composition,the community has been strengthening its function and shouldering more and more social management and service work,urban community grid management model has been developed to meet the requirements of the times.The research is based on the urban community grid management of A district by the method of literature study and case analysis,it explores the operation of urban community grid management of A district,obtains the advantage and dilemma of grid management in local community governance,and then puts forward some countermeasures for optimizing grid management.First of all,we list out relating definition and research of the community governance,urban community grid management,community governance theory and collaborative governance theory,it is clear that the grid management conforms to the current urban community governance needs as a typical governance model.Then,a grid management questionnaire is designed to carry out random sampling among service objects and service providers during community governance.The 50 effective questionnaires show that the grid management has been helpful to the improvement of community comprehensive environment and residents' life,and has played an active role in eight aspects such as sanitation,comprehensive management security,cultural entertainment,resident mobilization and so on,while there are not many residents' participation in community affairs,and the residents' awareness of the grid is low.Subsequently,through the author's participation in urban community grid management practice of A district,the series of activities carried out by the community are observed and the related interviews are conducted.Investigation finds that the grid management plays an active role in urban community of A district at atmosphere building,residents mobilization,introduction of third-party forces to participate in community governance and so on,at the same time,there exists difficulties in the aspects of residents' awareness and participation,and find the heavy duties of community cadres as one of the reasons for the dilemma of grid management.Through grid management surveys and investigation in urban community of A district,it is concluded that grid management has several advantages,such as raising community governance levels,improving life quality for residents,increasing residents' sense of belonging,and there are several difficulties including low awareness and attendance of residents,heavy duties of community cadres,absence of specialized social workers and volunteers.Finally,some suggestions are put forward to optimize the urban community grid management in four aspects,which include the promotion of political and social interaction,perfecting the grid management technique information platform,fostering social organization and improving team construction for social workers.In the last,a question on how to achieve the grid management to good governance is discussed.
