Research On Rural Elderly-support Problems In Poverty-stricken Areas From The Perspective Of Targeted Poverty Alleviation

With the acceleration of the process of population aging in our country,the problems of elderly care has become increasingly acute.The poverty-stricken areas in China are lagging behind in economic development and their people's living standards are relatively low.For elderly poor people in rural areas,elderly care is even more worrying,and poverty is the biggest factor constraining the development of rural elderly care.The targeted poverty alleviation strategy is a policy guarantee for China's implementation of building a moderately well-off society in an all-round way.To achieve all-round well-being in rural areas,the task of poverty alleviation in poverty-stricken areas is more onerous.And the proportion of elderly people living in poverty in rural areas is relatively large.Therefore,how to better solve the problems of rural home-based care for the aged in poverty-stricken areas in the process of targeted poverty alleviation has become an important part of the effectiveness of the implementation of targeted poverty alleviation strategy.The effective implementation of targeted poverty alleviation strategy can not only help farmers in poverty-stricken areas to solve the problems of living and developing,but also further promote the development of rural home-based care for the aged in poverty-stricken areas,and then can help them better enjoy in old age and share the fruits of social development.From the perspective of targeted poverty alleviation,this essay focuses on the problems of rural home-based care for the aged in poverty-stricken areas.Based on the field research done in the countryside of Southern Jiangxi and 415 rural elders questionnaire survey on the topic of home-based care for the aged,this essay draws the conclusion that the main reasons for the development difficulties of rural home-based care for the aged in Southern Jiangxi from the perspective of targeted poverty alleviation are: inadequate investment,failing filial tradition,weak family support,social security that fails to meet old people's basic needs,inappropriate distribution of responsibilities between family and government and the weakening of the village collective function.In the end,the author puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions for the development of home-based care for theaged in Southern Jiangxi from the perspective of targeted poverty alleviation.
