The Research Of Vietnamese Media Views About Cross-Strait Relation

Cross-strait relations is a more urgent issue on the current mainland and Taiwan.To a certain extent,it will directly or indirectly affect the relations between cross-strait and other countries.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the cross-strait relations.The author combed the results of previous studies and found that:1.from the perspective of media,cross-strait relations are mostly studied by mainland scholars and Taiwan scholars..The research on the cross-strait relations from the perspective of Vietnamese media is a blank spot.2.The research object is concentrated in the traditional media,few literature on new media.The previous research is mainly on the mainland and Taiwan media perspective on cross-strait relations,more or less lack of objective.The present paper take the Vietnamese media as the research object.Based on the framework theory,take deep analysis of the news report that related to relations across the Taiwan Straits which published by VnExpress from 2014 to 2017,the analysis was based on frame theory and content analysis method.We analyzed the numbers of report,news source,topics,preferences,and described the views of VnExpress based on international relation,politic,military,society and economy,and we also discussed the reporting techniques of VnExpress.After research found that 1.The number of reports surged in 2016,mainly in July and September.2.The coverage of cross straits relations as the core issue in VnExpress occupies the largest proportion,the concern of VnExpress focus on the cross-strait international relation,cross-strait politic and cross-strait military.Cross-strait international relation was complicated because the involvement of U.S.A,cross-strait politic was ever-changing,and cross-strait military was troublous.3.VnExpress is mostly derived from foreign mainstream media.4.The report of VnExpress are neutrality in most cases,after precise analysis we find that:In the cross-strait related reports,the content of the content is mainly in Taiwan area,there is less content in the mainland.Vietnamese media recognize the principle of "one China",unofficial words are reported in related reports on the Taiwan region.For example,the Chinese mainland,Vietnamese media will use the words "the Chinese government" and "the Chinese Ministry of foreign affairs".However,the Vietnamese media in Taiwan reduced its position,and used the words "Taiwan authorities","Taiwan diplomatic agencies" and other words instead.
