The strength of inter-generational transitivity is an important manifestation of a nation's economic and social vitality. In general, the level of inter-generational transitivity of a nation reflects,to a considerable extent, the ability of the nation to develop itself the social economy to progress together and the ability of national integration.However,inter-generational transmission among multi-ethnic settlements, mixed settlements and residential areas have multiple meanings for the accurate and precise formulation of regional development policies. This study takes Dali Prefecture,a multi-ethnic area,as the research sample.Based on the fourth and sixth census data of Dali Prefecture, the statistical yearbook of Dali Prefecture in 2001 and the statistical yearbook of Dali Prefecture in 2017.At the same time, supplemented by actual survey data, using the methods of calculation such as summation, deviation and deviation, ratio and simple narration to analyze the income, occupation, education, property, marriage, fertility and culture of Han,Bai,Yi,Hui,Lisu nationality in Dali Prefecture inter-generational transmission differences in the study.By studying the intergenerational transmission differences among the main ethnic groups in Dali Prefecture in terms of income, occupation, education, property and fertility, this paper finds that the economic development ability of Lisu and Yi is weak. The populations of these two peoples are more likely to fall into the trap of intergenerational poverty transmission and are less able to escape poverty, the Han nationality is in the middle position, and the Bai and Hui nationalities are more likely to realize the upward flow of economic status between generations, and the ability to get rid of poverty is stronger. In addition, through the research on the differences in inter-generational transmission between marriage and culture in major ethnic groups in Dali Prefecture,it can be seen that in the major nationalities of Dali Prefecture, the Han and Bai nationalities are more able to merge, the Yi people are in the middle, and the Hui and Lisu ethnic groups have a significant intergenerational inheritance of their own culture, but their ability to absorb other cultures is weak and their ability to integrate into each other is weak. The intergenerational transmission of Dali's major ethnic groups in income, occupation, education, property, marriage, fertility and culture can't be evaluated simply by the strong and weak, but specific analysis should be made. For the weaker developing nations, the stronger intergenerational mobility is the best, while the dominant ethnic group should have the best intergenerational transmission.Only in this way can the disadvantaged ethnic groups catch up with the pace of development of the dominant race, realize common development and enhance national integration ability. The reasons for the major ethnic groups of Dali Prefecture in terms of income, occupation, education, property, marriage, birth, and culture are various. There is a clear relationship between income, occupation, and education. At the same time, they directly and indirectly affect the differences in ethnic inter-generational transmission in terms of property, marriage, and culture. In addition, the living environment and policy factors also have an important impact on the intergenerational transmission differences of the major nationalities in Dali Prefecture. In order to block the intergenerational transmission and enhance the integration ability of the Hui and Lisu ethnic groups,we need to solve the problems from many aspects: first,to develop the superior industries of the various nationalities according to the local conditions and raise the income level of the Lisu and Yi;second,to improve the education level of the Lisu and Yi;third,to strengthen the vocational skills training of the Lisu and Yi;fourth, continue to promote various preferential policies to support the Lisu and Yi;fifth,to improve the living environment of the Lisu and Yi;sixth,to strengthen the protection of national traditional culture, achieve intergenerational transmission;seventh,to enhance cultural exchanges and promote the integration and development of national cultures.
