| Burst out in June,2017,the Qatar Diplomatic Crisis has attracted international attentions to this tiny Gulf country.Responding to this diplomatic standoff,Qatari domestic society has taken strong unity against external threats,which is different compared with the policy divide of other countries when they are under external pressure.This paper explores the construction process of Qatari political ecology from June 2017 to June 2019 with the theoretical framework of power constructivism.This paper argues that the three main family political factions: Al Thani family political faction,Al Attiyah family political faction and Al Kuwari family political faction have formed their own political ideas by the mechanism of intergenerational transmission.In general,through teaching from elder members and learning and imitating from younger members,the political ideas of one certain family political group have been transmitted.And their political practices help confirm the political ideas.Under the role of power constructivism,the Al Thani which is effectively leading the coercive power relationship in Qatar has imbue other political factions with its own political will,accomplishing the cohesion of political unity.Specifically speaking,through the constitution and other laws which are compulsory,the Shura Council which is the platform for communication,and national culture activities which are full of the Al Thani influence,other political groups gradually accept the power will of the Al Thani political group. |
