Case Study Of Community Corrections For Juvenile Delinquents

In recent years,the number of juvenile delinquents in our country has continuously increased.Whether or not juvenile delinquency can be effectively controlled is related to the future of the country and the nation.Therefore,the correction of juvenile delinquency and the re-crime prevention work are severe and urgent.How to effectively correct and control juvenile delinquency and criminal behavior has become an important issue for countries to think and explore.With the continuous improvement of the criminal justice system,the concept of slow execution has been recognized by all countries.China actively promoted community correction legislation and achieved some results in macroscopic research.However,compared with other developed countries and regions in foreign countries,China's research on criminal juveniles' community correction is still at its infancy,especially from the micro perspective on the practice of community correction of criminal juveniles is still very little.Deeper research on the issues that may be encountered in the course of corrective work and its solutions are still lackingThis study involved a case-by-case intervention in the community correction process for criminal juvenile Liu in the G district judicial institute of Hefei city.The literature was collected using literature,interviews,and observations methods.The concept was based on professional social work theory,and cognitive behavioral therapy was used in the intervention and observations.During the five-month intervention,through the intervention of social workers,the goal of this intervention service has been basically achieved.It has changed the psychological inferiority caused by the present situation of the client,make him accepted and willing to make efforts to change the current situation;changed the client's wrong perception towards his mother,reconstructed a good parent-child relationship and communication mode;changed the client's misperception in learning,the goal of learning and life has been established;greatly improved the social capacity of the client,social connections have been re-established.The use of cognitive-behavioral therapy can improve the client's cognitive ability,change his misperceptions,correctly understand himself,promote his re-socialization;the use of the judicial social work's advanced concept of “help people help themselves”,professional and complete scientific working mechanism,professional advantages of "flexible" working methods,flexible and diverse correction work projects can help the client get rid of psychological dilemmas as soon as possible,change autistic behaviors,rebuild social connections,and establish correct life goals.Therefore,we should strengthen the attention of the state and the government to judicial social work,actively promote legislation,and improve relevant legal systems to ensure that there are laws to be followed,that the system is complete,and that the powers and responsibilities are clear;enhance the social recognition of judicial social work,mobilize multiple forces to participate in social integration after correction and ensure that the intervention process is complete;strengthen the construction of a social worker talent team,building a professional,standardized,and large judicial social worker team to serve the heavy community correction works;actively explore innovative correction models,enrich community correction projects,and ensure that the effect of community correction is constantly improving.Judicial social work can play an active role in the field of criminal juvenile community correction and should give full play to its professional advantages.
