Research On The Service Of Elderly Meal-assisted In Beijing Community

The aging of population is the trend of social development.Continuous improvement of home-based care services for urban communities is conducive to the harmonious,stable,and healthy development of our society.Dinner is one of the most basic pension service needs of the elderly.“The Aged Helping Meals Service” is also one of the important contents of the urban community home-based care for the elderly.While vigorously advocating the further development of home-based care for the elderly,it is of great practical significance to gradually improve the relevant configuration of the “meal support for elderly care services” and promote its normal operation and development.In this paper,we use the survey data from the “Research on Demand for Home-based Aged Service in Beijing” research project in 2015 to analyze the status quo of supply of elderly and family-friendly meals in Beijing and the actual needs of the elderly.After two years,how is situation of the old-age care center helping the meal service implementation,whether dose it meets the needs of the elderly.And based on these,the author finds out the gap between supply and demand by analyzing the survey data of 2017 elderly people's satisfaction with meal service.The study finds that there are still many problems between the supply and demand of the pension service.For example,the quality of meals for elderly meals can hardly meet the needs of the elderly,the site size and distribution of elderly meal sites are uneven,the income and expenditure of the care center for the elderly is difficult to reach a balance,the profit is low,the enthusiasm of the catering enterprises is not high,which all restrict the development and use of the elderly meal service.In order to increase the level of old-age help services,maximize the dining needs of the elderly,and better promote the development of elderly-oriented meal services,many things should be done.It is necessary to increase government financial input,improve the construction of supplementary meals,conduct research on the needs of elderly nursing services,establish a good supply and demand information service platform,increase the quality of food for meal services,reduce the gap between urban and rural aged meal services.Regardless of quantity or quality,the level of development of elderly nursing service should not be too different.We can also innovate management methods,realize the healthy operation of the “meal support for the elderly”,actively guide and encourage the participation of social forces,etc.
