On The Improvement Of Community Correction System In China

The traditional way of imprisonment is to put the offender into prison for unified management,taking into account the specific circumstances of the offender and the degree of personal danger,the prison system is essential.But the correctional effect of prison on criminals also has its shortcomings,in the modern society,the criminals placed in a completely closed prison environment,almost completely divorced from society,which makes it difficult for criminals to re-enter the society after the good integration into society.Therefore,in view of the actual situation and the criminal’s own danger level,our country formulated the implementation community correction system.Based on the author’s survey of community corrections in Suqian of Jiangsu Province,this paper focuses on the system construction of community corrections and the problems encountered in legislation and practice,combined with the current implementation measures for community corrections and the Community correction law(draft for soliciting opinions),published in December 2016,This paper analyzes the pros and cons of the community correction system in China,probes into how to balance the interests of various aspects,and puts forward some opinions and perfect suggestions for the community correction system.
