A Study On China's Aid To Laos (2000-2015)

Since 2013,China has become the largest source of investment,aid and second trade partners in Laos.Since the end of the 1950s,China has started a great deal of assistance to Laos since the end of the 1950s.Since twenty-first Century,China has carried out greater assistance to Laos in accordance with the principles of equality and mutual benefit.In addition to unpaid assistance and interest free loans,China's assistance to Laos is mainly preferential loans,and new forms of aid,such as commercial credit,have begun to emerge.In the new century,China has increased the diversified forms of assistance,such as technical assistance and cultural education.In a word,China's assistance to Laos is more selfless,and the ways of aid are varied,but the publicity is less.The content of the aid is rich,which involves the social,economic,technical,cultural and educational aspects of Laos.It has great help to the economy and society of Laos,and has a positive effect on improving bilateral relations between China and the old and strengthening the impact of China on international affairs.However,a large number of aid to Laos Chinese,there are also some problems,such as the China benefits less,aid planning,management and evaluation is not enough,Chinese aid to Laos Chinese needs to be based on the domestic reality,need to pay attention to the benefits,especially short-term benefits,actively avoid risks,aid also need to be more targeted,more targeted foreign aid,assistance to expand influence,in addition,pay more attention to the management and evaluation of aid plan and assistance.China's assistance to Laos should also consider the actual situation of China and the feelings of the Chinese people,so as to plan,enhance management and evaluation,and increase China's strategic,political and economic benefits.Only in this way,can aid play a greater role in order to be more conducive to the interests of the Chinese and the old people,so as to better promote the further consolidation and development of China's old international relations.
