Research Of The Interactional Relationship Between Government And Media In The Management Of Sudden Public Incidents

At present,China is in the critical period of social development.Xi Jinping,general secretary of the communist party of China(CPC),pointed out in his report that Socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era and China's development has a new historical orientation.China is entering a crucial period of the decisive victory to build a moderately prosperous society in all respects and winning the great victory of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.At this stage,it is becoming an important research to maintain social security and stability,deal with the sudden public incidents effectively and protect the public interest.When the sudden public incidents occur,as the leading public event management,the government must strengthen a positive interaction with the media and disseminate information in a timely and accurate manner through the guidance and management of the media so the government can resolve the crisis in a timely and effective manner.At the same time,as the public event management participants,the media need to disseminate the news to satisfy the public's right to known and help the government to manage the sudden public incidents.Otherwise,when the sudden public incidents occur,on the one hand the public want to get messages from different way urgently,on the other hand the government need guide the public by right way.If the media cannot report right news,scientific and effective information dissemination and communication mechanism will not be established,which will have a negative impact on the government's handling of sudden public incidents.But now,the interaction between our government and the media is not ideal during the management of sudden public incidents.One side,because of the shortage on the importance of media and the impact of real problems,the government usually do not disseminate the right,comprehensive and timely message by the appropriate way.On the other side,some media cannot see their rights and obligations and some media influenced by factors such as benefit guidance so they disseminate some improper reports,which can cause a very bad effect on the government's handling of sudden public incidents.The incompatibility between the government and the media will have a verynegative impact on the treatment of public emergencies.This paper will use literature review method,case analysis and comparative analysis.Through the analysis of relevant data,sorting and related cases to introduce the concept and type of sudden public incidents.Through case analysis and comparison to sum up the experience when sudden public incidents occur.Then the paper will analyze the data and related cases to discuss the important of establishing a good interaction between the government and the media on the treatment of public emergencies.Then the paper will analyze the existing problems between the government and the media in the interaction through the cases and comparison.At last,the paper will propose corresponding solutions and countermeasures on how to build a smooth and harmonious interactive relationship between the government and the media during the management of sudden public incidents.
