A Study Of The Trilateral Relations Among Vietnam China And The United States

This essay mainly researches on the interaction among Vietnam,China and the United States.Of all the relationships between Vietnam and the world powers such as the United States,China,Russia,India,Japan… The relationships of Vietnam-China and Vietnam-US are the most important.Vietnam and China are both socialist countries,and moreover the relationship between Vietnam and China has been more stable since the normalization of their relationship,but they have not restored to the age of "friends and brothers".On the contrary,the relationship of Vietnam with the United States since the establishment of diplomatic relation has achieved a comprehensive and fast development.Every conflict between two countries in the past have been seen as the dust of history.In fact,in this three sided relationship,the relationship among Vietnam,China and The United State is an imbalanced one because Vietnam is just a regional country,the United State is a global country.China is also regional country.But China is trying to convert from a regional country to a global country.However,if Vietnam unite with China or the United State,this will be a threat to the third country,a real threat to the national security.Therefore,Vietnam plays an important role in the three sided relationship.The aim of this essay is to find out the rule of relationship among Vietnam.China and the United State in Southesat Asia especially from 1975 until now.First of all,I will assume that there are some rules in this relationship then I will find out whether it is suitable or not.The three rules is the three variable factors.The first one is balance of power.The second one is the ideology,the struggle between the ideologies is the main factor that decides the relationship between three countries.The third rule is the factor of regional organization or regional integration.The full text is divided into six parts,including the introduction and five chapters.The first chapter of this article mainly researches on the framework through three rules I mentioned above.The second chapter mainly outlines the relationship of these three countries from the 70 s to the early 90 s.The third chapter mainly the relationship among Vietnam,China and the United States in the early 90 s.The fourth chapter,we will understand how the relationship of three countries will change in the new century.And The last chapter is the other factors which can affect and the prospect in the relationship of three countries in the future.
