The Research Of Aid From Guangdong Province To Vietnam (1955-1978)

During the cold war, international relations affected deeply by relations between theUnited States and the Soviet Union, at that time China’s foreign aid decision also influencedby the relations of the two countries.It is worth to investigation that the China’s aid toVietnam,because it’s not only involved China USA and Soviet Union,but also concerned thebilateral relations of China and Vietnam. About China’s aid to Vietnam,there are manyresearches in academia,involving multiple times and ways.These researches mainly from thehistory,policy,influence, etc.The reason why I chose GuangDong’s aid to Vietnam issimple.In one hand,there are little research about it,and in the other hand,I hope to contributesome new viewpoints to research.This article summarized the origin, process,amount,type ofaid from GuangDong to Vietnam on the basis of collecting profile.From the mid of1950s to the end of1970s, under the guidance of central government,GuangDong province begin to help Vietnam.As a local province,GuangDong positiveresponse national policy,try her best to complete tasks.Beyond that,GuangDong provinceconsidered local actual condition and the requirements of Vietnam,to provide some additionalsupples.Including food supples,crop seed,agriculture machine and equipment,ship, medicine,Manpower and so on.These aid helped Vietnamese people’s life and economic construction, but also bringheavy burden to GuangDong province.From this historical period, we can see the relationshipof these two countries, from close to fraction.We need to rethink-profoundly if such aid basison ideology is appropriate.
