Over the past 60 years,since China and Egypt established diplomatic relations,they have withstood the tests of changeable international and regional situations,but seen steady and sound progress.They have become a model of south-south cooperation and exchanges of civilizations.In the new era,deepening Sino-Egyptian comprehensive ties can play a leading and exemplary role in boosting Sino-Arab and Sino-African relations.The “Belt and Road Initiative” raised by China has added new content to Sino-Egyptian ties and ushered in new opportunities for bilateral development.There are broad development prospects and great realistic meanings for both sides jointly building the “Belt and Road”.The similar historical experiences,common development objectives and huge symbiosis between China and Egypt promoting Sino-Egyptian relations to a higher and deeper level.They have not only kept close coordination in the path of promotion common development and learned from the cause of prospering national culture,but also kept close coordination in building a new type of international relations and promoting south-south cooperation.The bilateral ties,which has brought tangible benefits to the two peoples from mutual beneficial cooperation,has developed rapidly in all fields,including policy connectivity,infrastructure connectivity,trade connectivity,financial connectivity and people-to-people connectivity.When China and Egypt have achieved fruitful results and ushered in new opportunities,they also facing a series of new challenges.It is necessary to draw lessons from history and pursue innovation based on reality to further promote long-term and healthy development of Sino-Egyptian relations so as to make China-Egypt strategic and cooperative relations more stable and sustainable.
