Research On The Reform Of Household Registration System In Kunming

China's household registration system has a profound influence on the economic and social development of the city because of its uniqueness.The Communist Party of China and the State Council have always attached great importance to the reform of the household registration system and have formulated a series of policy measures to promote the reform of the household registration system,which has formulated an overall line for the reform of the household registration system and provided policy support.At the same time,it also exerted pressure on the local government to accelerate the reform of the household registration system.In December 2017,Kunming City issued the “Notice of the General Office of the People's Government of Kunming Municipality on Printing and Distributing Kunming City to Promote the Transfer of Population and Other Permanent Population of Urban Residents in Urban Resettlement Plan”,and reformed its household registration system again after two years.Since 2008,Kunming has carried out five reforms of the household registration system in ten years.What are the fundamental motives for the reform,where are the reforms,and what are the results of the reforms? These issues deserve our serious consideration.This paper selects the reform of the household registration system in Kunming to carry out research in order to provide a sample of Kunming for the reform of the household registration system in similar cities in China.It also provides ideas and lessons for the reform of the Kunming household registration system in the future.After clarifying the reform objectives of the household registration system in Kunming,this article first studies the reform process of the household registration system in Kunming,and presents the path selection and characteristics of changes in the household registration system in Kunming from a theoretical perspective to demonstrate the feasibility and necessity of the reform..Subsequently,the current status of the reform of the household registration system in Kunming is analyzed to try to restore thebasic appearance and implementation of the household registration system in Kunming.On this basis,we will find and find the current gap between the reform of the household registration system in Kunming and the reform goals.We will look for existing problems and challenges,and propose relevant countermeasures and recommendations for the reform of the household registration system in Kunming.
