Ritual is a social,symbolic and performative behavior that is a combination reflecting people's ideas and practices.There is a certain purpose in the ritual acts that provides a communication platform between people and God in order to strengthen order and integrate society.Order is the people's conceptual order,also,it is the social order,the relatively stable relationship model,structure and status that was formed in a long-term social interaction.船ancing and Mute' is a mass praying ceremony in the Mute Festival of Qi Xuan Village.Each household and individual consciously obeys collective order and organizations by participating in ritual to worship gods,express wishes and pray for blessings.This article discusses from the following aspects: Firstly,it illustrated formation background of 船ancing and Mute' in Qixuan through historical and cultural the perspectives.Secondly,it collated the ritual process and explored local Yi Peoples' logic,beliefs and concepts in their daily life,also ways of the locals' interpersonal communication,namely,people and nature,people and gods,people and society through analyzing the symbols and the villagers' practices conducted around 船ancing and Mute' combing with the model of the Three-level Concept of Chinese Folk Culture proposed by Mr.Yiyuan Li.Finally,according to the changes in the legends of 船ancing and Mute',participants,and organizational strength,it observed the changes in order.The author wants to observe and analyze the case of 船ancing and Mute'in Qixuan Village to prove that such a recurring phenomenon of folk customs is not arbitrary,but is closely related to the locals' life.It is intended to demonstrate the order among people,nature and gods,which showed in the 船ancing and Mute' in which Qixuan people are the main participants and explore the value of such a power-interweave of the exorcism that existsin folklore systems and real world.
