Labor relations is a basic social relationship and this relationship is more prominent in the economic society, even has an impact and transformation on the development of economic structure. With the conflict of labor relations in the market economy, the labor union is produced..At present, the contradictions and conflicts between labor and capital in China are becoming more and more superficial and nonnal, which have become an important factor affecting the development of China's economy. The basic duty of our trade unions is to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of workers, especially in representing the interests of workers and regulating labor relations.Under the guidance of the theory of socialist labor union with Chinese characteristics,Chinese labor unions have been developing vigorously. What role do Chinese labor unions play in building harmonious labor relations in the period of social transformation? This is what I want to study in this paper.By comparing the development process of the labor unions in western capitalist countries, this paper draws some implications for the development of labor unions in China.By combing the development process of the labor unions in China, some problems existing in the current Chinese labor unions are found.Taking the three coastal economic zones as the research object, using the data of ten years in 2006-2015 years,we take the labor dispute cases as a comprehensive index to represent the status of labor relations, focusing on the influence of labor union degree on labor relations in China. The empirical analysis shows that the degree of labor union in China has a negative correlation with the labor dispute cases. Finally, based on how to improve the degree of unionization,we provide policy recommendations for building harmonious labor relations through membership management, independent trade union cadres and the establishment of a detailed trade union.
