A Study Of E City's Urban Housing Demolition Issue And Counte-Remesures To It

In recent years,the rapid development of regional economies,profound change of industry structure,and in-depth adjustment of interest structure have given rise to new problems and social contradictons.Issues concerning land aquisition and housing demoliton have increasingly become significant causes for complaint letters and calls.These issues are closely related to the heartfelt interests of the people and the harmony and stability of society,and have long been particularly sensitive.They draw close attention from people from all walks of life and constitute a ticklish business for the government.Apart from the fact that the relevant laws and regulations are imperfect(for instance,the land management law of PRC),the long marginalized role of institutions of letters and calls have made the land related issues even more pressing.Long-pending cases triggered by housing demolition,which are particularly complicated,are gradually causing worries from the government,anxiety from the officials and grievances from the public.Such cases not only harm the stabilityand unity of the local community,but also impose a heavy economic burdan.Against such a background,in this thesis,we take E city as an example,and the housing demolition issue of Li(one local resident)in particular,to make an overall systematic study of this sort of issue.Through the housing demolition cases we made a study of how to improve the system of letters and calls.By analysing its causes,nature and actions,and appllying relevant theories in public management,political science,statistics,an in-depth study of urban housing demolition problems was made.Then relevant department of the government can be provided with certain measures and advices to deal with such problems.Meanwhile,experience and system of relevant disicplines at home and abroad are taken as reference points,which,can result in positive and practical impact to the improvement of the system of letters and calls.
