Marx Social Security Thought And Its Contemporary Enlightenment

As a “regulator” for people's income distribution,social security is not only a major guarantee mechanism related to the national economy and the people's livelihood,but also a fundamental and reliable way to achieve social equity and justice.Marx's social security thought was formed at the ascendant stage of capitalist economy and society,based on the theoretical basis of historical materialism and the theory of surplus value,and aimed at achieving social equity and social security.Looking at Marx's social security thought,we can find that fairness runs through it.The basis of Marx's social security thought contains the conditions and theoretical sources,namely the social security thoughts of the British classical political economists and the social security thoughts of the three utopian socialists.Marx's social security thought has undergone three important periods of formation,development and improvement.The main content has covered Marx's critique of the capitalist social security system and its vision for the future social security system.From the perspective of social reproduction theory,Marx elaborated that fairness is the main characteristic of Marx's social security thought.It not only focuses on the realization of social justice as an important purpose and significance of establishing a social security system,but also emphasizes that the smooth operation of social security system must abide by fair and modest This important principle.However,it is not easy to establish a social security system that is relatively complete and compatible with China's basic national conditions.In addition,new problems arise in the process of improving social security.In the last part of the paper,we briefly outlined the development stage of China's social security system,especially the development stage of the old-age insurance system.We also listed several outstanding problems in China's social security system in terms of fairness,combined with Marx's social security thought and its enlightenment to the contemporary society.Put forward appropriate improvement measures.
